Plot + Character Roles

*Plot*

Oliver Evans was a lonely child back when he began school, and to fill that lonely void he took his mother's advice and created an imaginary friend to play with, Tuesday. Over the years, as all kids go through, Oliver got too old to have Tuesday around and slowly didn't see her anymore.

Years later, though, Oliver is met with an interesting occurrence. Tuesday came back...and this time she's not leaving.

As if being called crazy for "talking to himself" in elementary school wasn't bad enough, now Oliver has to deal with it in high school as well.

*Main Roles*

Tuesday

Oliver's fun loving imaginary friend. While Tuesday was welcomed company to Oliver when he was little, her child-like attitude is now an annoyance to Oliver now that he's 14. She's a bit bratty at times, and her only goal is to stay by Oliver's side and keep him entertained through his otherwise boring teenage years. But within her motives lies her desperate want to be needed by Oliver again, and to not be sentence to another 4 years in his memory again.

So of course, she happens to have a major issue with Oliver's recent therapy, as she feels it's going to make him forget about her again.

Oliver Evans
Oliver's always been an introverted and lonely child, with his imaginary friend Tuesday as his only friend. After the death of his mother, the constant absence of his father who works out of town--in what Oliver thinks is an attempt to avoid him--and being too old to have Tuesday around anymore, Oliver just wants to go as unnoticed as possible now that he's starting high school. Those plans are shattered when Tuesday comes back, and while he was once thrilled by her company, she seems rather annoying to him now.

Oliver's apathetic attitude can get a bit tiring to others around him, and he's easily annoyed when things get too whimsical despite the fact that the whimsy is of his own accord. Though, deep down, he's thankful for Tuesday being there as well as having Yoko as a friend who doesn't think he's a freak.

Oliver inspires to be an artist, and frequently wants to put some of his art in the local exhibits, but always gets nervous right before.

Yoko Osaki

While Yoko is the rich and beautiful girl at school she has a rather mysterious demeanor Yoko's not easily understood or approached as most people find her creepy or just unsettling to be around despite her looks and money. But she seems to be a good match for Oliver in the friendship category as she doesn't see his friendship with Tuesday as freakish--though the guys at school find it odd that someone as pretty as Yoko picked someone as weird as Oliver.

Yoko is Minty's niece and was the one who got Oliver a therapy session with her, and while Yoko is supportive of Oliver she does look out for his best interests mentally. She's interested in being a therapist herself.

Dr. Minty Osaki

Yoko's aunt and an accomplished therapist....who probably needs a therapist herself. Being good at what she does doesn't mean she has to like it, and Minty rather strangle most of her clients.

Having a dangerously short fuse and tendency for randomly violent outbursts that can only be calmed down--strangely--by eating nuts, Minty isn't most people's first choice for therapy, but despite all that she still is a very good therapist.

Oliver starts seeing her regularly to find out what exactly might be the reason his imaginary friend came back and now won't leave, and while Oliver's case boggles Minty's mind, she interested in seeing how it plays out and actually has a more deeply rooted reason for helping him than Oliver realizes.
