-Episode 1 “Melancholy Monday”:
Oliver must deal
with Tuesday unexpectedly staying past the summer time and being with him
during his first year of high school, as well as trying to figure out why
Tuesday has come back, but his other childhood imaginary friend, Monday, hasn’t.
-Episode 2 “The One Who Understands”:
After a month
in high school of being the friendless “talks to himself” freak, Oliver finally
manages to make friends with Yoko, a girl who’s been, more or less, following
him around school since it started. He tries desperately to hide Tuesday from
her as he finds her to be “cute” and wants to perhaps get to know her a little
better, but she ends up not taking it too badly.
-Episode 3 “Crazy like a Fox”:
Oliver’s teachers
grow worried by the fact that he talks to himself so they suggest he either
sees the school psychologist or gets outside therapy. Oliver chooses to go
outside school and goes to his first session with Minty after Yoko suggests her
aunt. But even though Minty is crazy herself, she might just be crazy enough to
help Oliver figure out why Tuesday won’t go away.
-Episode 4 “Jumping through Hoops”:
Oliver’s class
has to participate in a career day, and Oliver and Helga get paired up to be
assistants to Minty (while Yoko and Delanie get paired up to go to the pharmacist
Delanie is dating) and bond over their similar problems with their fathers as
Oliver feels resentment towards Ace for avoiding him and Helga feels like she’s
constantly trying to prove herself to her parents but is never liked quite like
her sister is. Meanwhile, Ace is coming home early after having a conversation
with Minty about Oliver’s condition, unbeknownst to Oliver.
-Episode 5 “The Maid plays Chess”:
When Yoko sees
that Oliver is interested in Even, she wants to see if she become the kind of
girl Oliver likes and joins the cheerleading team—and taking Even’s place in
the process. Having the plan go over well, Yoko tries to insert herself more in
Oliver’s home life, coming over to cook for him when he ends up spending the
last of his allowance on a new game console. Tuesday and Even, though, are not
amused.
-Episode 6 “Minty Fresh, Minty Stale”:
A look at
Minty’s life as she goes about her day, her trying to hide Oliver’s condition
from Anemone, her falling out with her brother about her hanging around Yoko
too much, her lonely life at her apartment, a conversation with Ace about
Oliver, and flashbacks of her life as a teen.
-(Mid-Season Finale) Episode 7 “Butterfly on the
Boardwalk”:
As the local seafood boardwalk fair is returning to town, Yoko
drags Oliver to it, but lately Tuesday has been longing to be more real and to
experience things as a free agent alongside Oliver rather than as his imaginary
friend. Oliver wants to that the day at the fair to boost Tuesday’s spirits.
-Episode 8 “Walking on Thin Yo-Yo Strings”:
Yoko has
a very important yo-yo competition to get to but has to keep it secret from her
parents, but it becomes harder when her cotillion is on the same night as her
finals. In an attempt to make both, she almost misses the final dance of her
cotillion but her and Oliver rush there after the competition and dance a
wonderful waltz.
-Episode 9 “Dream Drops”:
A rainy days leaves Oliver
and Tuesday stranded at school until it clears, while Yoko stays with them
simply to keep them company it seems the twins Corduroy, Even, and even Harley
are stuck at school as well. As the power goes out and the winds get worse,
they all bond over sharing personal problems.
-Episode 10 “Peter Pan Syndrome”:
While at home sick
after walking home in the rain in the previous episode, Oliver stays home from
school and he and Tuesday spend a peaceful day together and remember their
childhood together, as well as how it all fell apart, and attempting to play
make-believe again in Neverland. They both wish to regain the childhood days
but Oliver can’t stop growing up…
-Episode 11 “Biting the Bitter Pill”:
Having thought
a lot about his past, Oliver is haunted by the memory of how he received his
scar, and while struggling to not become angry like Ace, it only makes him more
sensitive and prone to anger. Getting into a fight with Corduroy and lashing
out at Yoko, Oliver is finally prescribed a medication by Minty…2 pills a day.
The new medication seems to be working but he hates taking it as he feels he
now has no control over anything he does, becoming more violent ad suffering
with heightened depression. The only thing the meds seem to be doing is making
Tuesday become fuzzier and fuzzier to Oliver. In one last outburst, Oliver has
a major fight with Tuesday and causes her to leave in sadness. Not being able
to get her to come out and ashamed of his anger Oliver overdoses on his
medication to try and correct himself
only to find that he still can’t get Tuesday back.
-Episode 12: “The Longest Wednesday”:
Still not able
to get Tuesday back, Oliver tries to adjust to a life without her…taking
Minty’s advice in doing so, but instead he feels emptier and more depressed.
Finally asking for Yoko’s help she plans for them to sneak into the psychiatric
ward to use a machine Yoko’s heard can go into a person’s mind….
-(Season Finale) Episode 13 and 14
“Never-Again-Land, Part 1 and 2”:
In the psychiatric ward Oliver gets hooked up
to the machine, and passes out. While “exploring his mind”. Oliver must make it
through a series of personified memories and mental obstacles within his mind
to get Tuesday back, with the help of Yoko who he envisioned within his own
mind—dressed in prince charming garb.
